Process: Scott Wink Grant

by Ian Ritz
Nov 21, 2011 at 14:13

Scott Wink Grant wanted to get something he'd never tried before logged for his upcoming video part, but he got stuck in a bit of a mental loop while getting it done. Too often video parts make everything look easy, so we hope you enjoy the process of him working through a trick.

has nothing to do with mountainbiking, but this is how the problem should be approached

I have tears in my eyes from laughing at this. So going to think of this video every time i attempt a drop from now on.

As for the actual vid, props for getting that trick smashed! Landed it so clean too =)

Hahaha! First time I've seen that. I kept watching that video over and over. haha Thank you for sharing that!

I liked the video above as well. Shows just how much mental effort it takes sometimes to land one trick on these videos.

This is exactly what happens. I don't think it would have been the same if the video was censored.

This happens to everyone before you do something big, and if you dont try you get home and feel like the biggest pussy and are always so mad at yourself for not trying it. Props to you that was sick!

Yep I know that feeling, But we ignore the urge to stop and just take an epic wide in doing so. It's the way you learn.

Right on !! This is the stuff most vids don't show.. when your guts are inside out, and upside down, but there is only one way to get it done.....well done!

That was great to see. I went through a very similar process a few weeks ago. I took so many run ins that I finally got fed up and couldn't stand the thought of going home with my tail between my legs. I guess that's when I was ready.

I've never seen someone attempt something after so many roll-ups....I go by my rule of, if you need to do more than 4 run ins, save it for another day...I've never understood having to do multiple roll-ins...it's not gonna change the jump.

One-hit stuff is the worst. It's so much easier to do something big when it's part of a trail.
